Company Profile/History

Business Telephones and Data has customers in Columbia (Columbia Area), Charleston, Florence, Camden, Sumter, Orangeburg, Hilton Head, Newberry, Aiken, North Augusta, and Myrtle Beach and the southern coast cities of the state.

DataCom, Inc. ,d.b.a, Business Telephones and Data (now LLC) was incorporated in 1993. At that time the customer base was owned by Teleco of Greenville and was approximately 10 years old. DataCom, Inc. did business as Teleco of Columbia for three years and resigned as a Teleco dealer because of excessive product cost buying from a distributor. When DataCom started buying direct 1996, Teleco of Columbia was dropped and the owners began using the original incorporated name DataCom, Inc. Because of customer awareness to the primary mission of selling telephone systems, DataCom, Inc. started doing business as Business Telephones and Data.
